How to merge PDFs

1

Add the PDFs

Drop up to twenty documents on the box above, or pick them from your disk. Each one appears with its page count and size.

2

Set the order

Move files with the ↑ and ↓ buttons until the list reads the way the merged document should. The first file's pages come first.

3

Download the merge

Press Merge the PDFs and download the result — a single file, every page kept at its original size and resolution.

What merging does — and what it does not

Merging copies the pages of every input document into one new file. Nothing is re-rendered or re-compressed: each page arrives exactly as it was, at its own size, so a mixed-orientation pile keeps every page right way up and print-ready. The result opens in every viewer and prints like the parts did.

Two things deliberately do not survive the merge: interactive form fields (the values remain drawn on the page, but the fields stop being fillable) and bookmarks. If either matters, keep the original files — the merged copy is a new file and the originals are untouched.

Merge PDF questions

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Every page is read and rewritten in this browser tab; the files never touch a server, which also means the tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

Twenty files per run, up to 200 MB each. If you need more, merge the first batch, then add the result to the next batch — the output is a normal PDF that can be an input again.

Does merging change the page quality?

No. Pages are copied rather than rendered: text stays selectable, images keep their original resolution, and file sizes add up roughly as you would expect.

Can I put one PDF in the middle of another?

Not in this tool — the merge is sequential and file-level. For page-level ordering, split the document you want to insert into first, then merge the three pieces in the right order.

What happens to password-protected PDFs?

A locked file is refused with a clear message. Remove the password in a reader first, then merge the unlocked copy.
